The Michigan Agri-Business Association is a non-profit organization, and your membership helps us carry out our mission: To be a strong advocate and dedicated resource for Michigan agriculture. MABA is only as strong as our membership, and we are proud to represent approximately 300 business of all sizes, at every point on the agricultural value chain.

Our members comprise many different segments of the agriculture industry — grain and feed, ag retail, logistics, food processing, professional services and beyond. If you are active in the Michigan agriculture sector, MABA membership is designed to provide you with up-to-date information, networking and opportunities to support our industry in the policy arena.

What comes along with membership?

  • Twice-a-week Michigan AgFacts Newsletter: Members receive our AgFacts newsletter on Tuesdays and Fridays, highlighting Michigan ag news, state and federal ag policy and political developments.
  • Networking opportunities: We host a wide range of events for members each year. These include a near-monthly Lansing Ag Club breakfast; breakfast events hosted in different corners of Michigan; as well as issue-based seminars and briefings. MABA also collaborates with our Educational Trust to host two golf events each spring and fall.
  • Annual print directory: Members are listed in our annual print directory and receive a copy of the directory, which also includes a guide to Michigan government.
  • Winter Conference: We host a major Winter Conference bringing together many segments of Michigan agriculture and we are always looking for engaging expert speakers, often drawn from the ranks of our members.
  • Legislative and Executive Branch advocacy: We work hard to educate policymakers about issues important to Michigan agriculture. We and our members frequently interact with state legislators, Members of Congress, and state department leaders, and their staff on a wide range of issues.
  • Advice and Counsel: One of our core functions is to ensure we are a resource for our members. MABA frequently consults with members on policy and regulatory questions, helps them find answers in state government, and steps in to engage on legislative and regulatory issues on their behalf.
