MABA echoes industry concern following dicamba ruling

February 9, 2024 | The Michigan Agri-Business Association shares the concerns voiced by U.S. farm and rural business leaders following this week’s Federal court ruling vacating the registration for over-the-top applications of dicamba on dicamba-tolerant crops. The ruling comes at an extremely difficult time as soybean growers have already established plans for the 2024 growing season.

We encourage MABA members to review two letters sent this week to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by the Agricultural Retailers Association, one of MABA’s national-level partners, and the American Soybean Association. MABA echoes the concerns voiced in these letters and the call for EPA to implement as broad of an existing stocks policy as possible.

American Soybean Association Letter to EPA: We need a dicamba existing stocks order stat!

MABA will update members as more information becomes available from federal and state authorities on the impacts of this ruling.
