Scholarships for the Fall 2023 semester aim to help young people with plans to enter the agriculture sector July 5, 2023 —The Michigan Agri-Business Association (MABA) Educational Trust announced it will award scholarships to 21 Michigan students planning to enter the agriculture industry. These scholarships offered through the Educational Trust totaled more than $25,000 for the Fall 2023 collegiate semester. “The Michigan Agri-Business Association is proud to support the next generation of industry leaders. This support is made possible by participation of many across Michigan’s agricultural sector,” said MABA Educational Trust Chair, Ward Forquer. “Michigan’s agribusiness leaders recognize the importance of supporting young people who are entering the industry. We congratulate these scholarship recipients and wish them the best success in the future.” Those awarded scholarships include: Maddie Brink, Hamilton Jackson Bowles, Vicksburg Mason Burk, Bay City Cassidy Cashen, Muir John Cudney, Dewitt Laken DuRussel, Munger Leah Engler, Sandusky Deanna Gallagher, Carson City Matilda Graham, Rosebush Hannah Hart, Benton Harbor Amara Jackson, Corunna Matthew Johnson, Casnovia James Johnson, Grand Rapids Kristen Klee, Minden City Breanne Reif, Allen Peyton Schmandt, Vassar Silas Schultz, Mayville Ella Smith, Frankenmuth Grace Weburg, Ithaca Dylan Wehner, Pigeon Kathleen Zahm, Marne Established in 1974, The MABA Educational Trust has awarded more than half a million dollars in scholarships to deserving students. The application deadline for 2024 spring semester scholarships is October 1, 2023 and 2024 fall semester scholarships is June 1, 2024.
