February 16, 2024 | The Michigan Agri-Business Association this week partnered with the Michigan Soybean Committee and Michigan Soybean Association to host our first Ag Club breakfast of 2024.
The event brought together more than 100 partners, government leaders and MABA members in downtown Lansing for networking, and a briefing on soybean production and market opportunities. Soybeans play a critical role in the strength of Michigan agriculture and our rural economy, and we were glad to help spotlight the industry this week!

The redesign of this site comes on the heels of the Fall 2023 launch of a revised online payment and invoice tracking system for MABA members. It’s part of a broader effort to continually improve, and ensure top-notch service for all of our association’s members and partners.
We look forward to sharing additional announcements throughout 2024 as we continue to streamline and grow our member services, outreach efforts and advocacy.

February 9, 2024 | The Michigan Agri-Business Association shares the concerns voiced by U.S. farm and rural business leaders following this week’s Federal court ruling vacating the registration for over-the-top applications of dicamba on dicamba-tolerant crops. The ruling comes at an extremely difficult time as soybean growers have already established plans for the 2024 growing season.
We encourage MABA members to review two letters sent this week to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by the Agricultural Retailers Association, one of MABA’s national-level partners, and the American Soybean Association. MABA echoes the concerns voiced in these letters and the call for EPA to implement as broad of an existing stocks policy as possible.

February 7, 2024 | The Michigan Agri-Business Association’s Agribusiness Leadership Program group traveled to Washington, DC this week for briefings with MABA partners and meetings with federal policymakers. Now in its 15th year, the Leadership Group program brings together emerging leaders from Michigan agriculture across four sessions in Michigan and Washington. The program allows participants to learn more about MABA’s work, go in-depth on the ag policy landscape, and hone their advocacy skills.
