Statement: MABA applauds infrastructure focus in Gov. Whitmer’s State of the State address

LANSING (Jan. 29, 2020) – Chuck Lippstreu, president of the Michigan Agri-Business Association, issued the following statement reacting to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s State of the State address: “We applaud Gov. Gretchen Whitmer for continuing to make fixing the state’s crumbling infrastructure a priority in 2020. The success of Michigan’s agricultural industry and our rural economy depends on logistics and transportation infrastructure. Our rural roads and bridges continue to deteriorate, and we urge policymakers to find a solution to fix Michigan’s infrastructure.”
